The OP didn't say that.

He said: "Taxcut 2007 allows 5 Federal returns to be filed. I'd like to
file more than 5." He didn't say anything about not being able to
prepare more than five.

I assume he meant e-file, because he could prepare and paper file as
many returns as he wants. The limit is on e-fileing, not preparing.

Clarification- We at H&R Block have an agreement with the IRS that our
TaxCut software should limit the number of returns that can be
electronically filed (not prepared) to 5 per computer. This is to
discourage misuse of the consumer product- that is, the IRS doe not want
individuals using TaxCut and similar DIY products for mass submissions.
And, true, as noted earlier, you can prepare, print, and file endless
numbers of returns on a given machine- the limit is to e-filing.
