Hi,
Do you have to file a 2007 NJ return to get a homestead rebate? The 1040
only mentions tenants. My mother is 92 and a homeowner, and doesn't have to
file, but I'm not sure if she should file one anyway so that she can get the
homestead rebate.
Thanks.
Al

nevermind. i found it on NJ's website.
Homeowner: If you were a homeowner on October 1, 2007, a 2007 homestead
rebate application will be mailed to you. Homeowners do not file Form
TR-1040, doing so will delay the payment of your homestead credit or rebate.
More information for homeowners.

thanks anyway,
Alic
