If I were a rich man, I would root like hell for the consumption tax
because it is a poor man's nightmare and a rich man's dream. It will
make the poor man poorer and the rich man richer.

It would benefit both rich and poor. It would simplify the process, cost
less to administer and would cut so much waste everyone could save money
except dope dealers, prostitutes and underground economy operatives.
