Hello,

8 yrs. ago, I stupidly moved a 401K account into a variable annuity. This
was a tax-deferred investment. The surrender charges now have expired, and
I want to rollover the annuity
to an IRA. Can you do this?

Thanks,

You paid no tax when you did that move, right? Then the annuity is
in a plan which allows direct rollovers to an IRA without penalty.
