I was just wondering which tax records are public record and which
aren't.

County/city property tax records are usually public. Most other tax records
are not public unless you fail to file or pay, in which case there may be
public notices of lien, seizure of property, or court action, all of which
are to some extent public records.

Returns of non-profit groups are available to the public if one is filed.

Individual and corporate returns are not made public by the government.

Because he makes them public. The IRS doesn't.

They aren't "made public".

He discloses them.

Do try to understand the difference.

__You__ can tell the world all about your tax return details.

The IRS can not.

The states can not (as far as I know).

Your tax return preparer, lender, and priest can not disclose your tax
return information.

You however, can post pdf's of it all day long.
